Together
with the Gospels and the teachings of the Catholic Church, the Spiritual Diary of Elizabeth Kindelmann makes up the third pillar
upon which the spirituality of the Flame
of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Movement is resting.
This
Diary has been written by
Elizabeth Kindelmann (see menu on the
top),
a humble woman who lived in Hungary, from 1913 to 1985. As we all know, the Catholic Church has been
persecuted by the regime in that country for many years.
Sister
Ana Roth, a Hungarian religious nun, has been instrumental in bringing
the Diary over to the West.
When learning about the urgent message of the Blessed Virgin Mary which
makes up the essential part of this Diary,
Sister Roth published the most important texts in booklet form of 16,
and then 60 pages, which have then been translated in many languages and
have reached a large distribution.
The
complete Diary has been
published in Hungarian in 1985, in Germany. It starts with the description of a terrible “dark night”. Through
the Virgin Mary, the divine light comes back, and Elizabeth
begins to hear the voice of Our Lord Jesus Christ and of the Virgin Mary
in the form of interior locutions. She had a clear understanding of
their words in her heart.
The
Diary not only contains
profound spiritual reflections and a message of great significance, but
also an initiative of grace of very great import on the part of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, which could be summed up as follows:
The
efforts of Satan to lose souls have reached an all-time high. Facing
him, his eternal adversary, the Blessed Virgin Mary. We know that « where
sin abounded, grace did much more abound » (Romans 5.20). She
has obtained from our Heavenly Father, through the merits of the Passion
of Her Holy Son, a very large effusion of graces the like of which has
not been seen since the Word became Flesh (these words are from Our
Blessed Mother). She will blind Satan with the Flame of light and grace
flowing from Her Immaculate Heart. This Flame must ignite all hearts,
even the ones of those who do not belong to the Catholic Church. She is
telling us what we must do to cooperate with Her in this work. The
Blessed Virgin Mary cries, begs, prays and is asking for prayers,
sacrifices, fasting and family holy hours to help Her in this fight
against evil.
The
Spiritual Diary has been translated from the original Hungarian into
Spanish by Father Gabriel Róna, S.J., who is now residing in Budapest, Hungary.
Father Róna lived in Equator for thirty years where he providentially
received the writings of Mrs. Elizabeth Kindelmann – a heavenly
message about the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Father
Róna devoted himself to the translation of these writings from
Hungarian into Spanish between the years 1985 and 1989.
The
Spiritual Diary has been translated into French in
2003-2004 and is now available in a book published in 2006.
